Hello on Wednesday

Dear Friends,

Our Tuesday went as planned except that I didn't clean up the brush from the Choke Cherry tree which was cut down on Monday. Instead of doing the outdoor projects, I decided to install four air conditioners throughout the house. We did turn a couple of them "on" since the temperatures hit 80 + degrees in Pittsfield. These air conditioners are getting heavier and heavier as I get older and older.
Of course, as soon as I put them in the windows, the temperatures will be back in the 60's for a week straight.

Linda's Mah Jongg session went very well. She had the most wins of the group on Tuesday.

We did get a thunderstorm roll in last night near 11 PM, but nothing like the tornadoes warnings and tornado strikes which hit other parts of our nation.

The Fish and Chips at Matt Reilly's were very good last evening. When the bill arrived, it didn't have the Monday and Tuesday special prices. We had to send the bill back, and we received the discounted price (a savings of a little over $5).
Matt Reilly's has an outdoor deck, but they were not serving food on the deck as of Tuesday. Once the deck is in use, the discounts for fish and chips are over.

News / Politics -- The Royal Wedding is still the top news on all of the morning programs. They even have a count down for the wedding as we in the United States have a countdown for the Space Shuttle.
The rest of the Middle East and Africa is in turmoil with protests like the ones in Libya, Syria, etc. There is also the Taliban prison break in Afghanistan where some really bad guys have not been recaptured. Cambodia is having some political unrest too.
The rich are getting richer in the United States as the middle class continues to struggle. There was even a report that it is easier to start a business in China than it is in the United States. The people in the oil industry are making some serious profits as the crude oil prices continue to rise. Even the price of Silver is up to $50 an ounce.

Social Calendar -- As soon as I finish my morning routine, and read the local newspaper, I am going to attack the brush in the back yard.
After Linda wakes up, and finishes her morning routine, I will be her assistant as she attempts to clean her walk in closet. I am the guy who will be holding the garbage bag for all the clothes going to "Good Will."
Linda is the only person socially engaged this evening. Today is her Wednesday evening knitting group session at Panera Bread which starts at 6 PM.
I feel the urge to cook some chicken. Do I grill it or cook some in the oven?

Sports -- I didn't go to bed a happy person last evening since both the Red Sox and the Boston Bruins lost their respective games. Both teams play again this evening, and I am hoping that the results are much better.

Our friends who ate at "Dough East Boston" on Monday reported that the food was great. They said that they would tell all of their friends who are heading to Logan Airport. For those people who are visiting Boston, making a side trip to his restaurant is a great idea.
Just remember that Kevin's normal day off is Tuesday, and Sunday the restaurant is closed. You can still get food on Tuesday, but you might not see Kevin. Kevin actually tried to open the restaurant on Tuesday (he had his son with him), but he got stuck in traffic because of an accident, and the large volume of traffic. His partner opened the restaurant.
Kevin turned around and went back home and he and Max spent the day out in their backyard. Tewksbury didn't get as warm as we did in the Berkshires.

Jerry Brodeur's is doing so well after his kidney transplant that he might be discharged from the hospital today or tomorrow. When Linda called the Brodeur home, one of Jerry's sisters answered the telephone, and said that the sister (who donated her kidney) was out taking a walk with her husband.
Ginny had to stay longer at the hospital on Monday because she was being taught what she has to do in between the visiting nurses coming to the Brodeur home.

Well, I have to do some quiet chores in the home, and then put on some working clothes for my outdoor project.
I want to do all these chores so that my social calendar will be totally free so that I can play golf without thinking about what projects I have after a round of golf. My golf game has so much room for improvement that I don't need any mental distractions while on the course.

Have a great Wednesday!
Talk to you soon. The Curley Lad
