Hello on Thursday morning

Dear Friends,

Our Wednesday went as planned. I grilled vegetables and chicken while Linda
whipped up a potato salad and brownies. We added some calico beans, and the
meal was complete. We had 12 people over for the meal and baby viewing.
Kyla and Max arrived at 2 PM as scheduled. I had finished grilling my
vegetables, and I was just starting to cook the chicken as Kyla, Max, and the
two dogs entered the back of our house.
I have to do a little clean up, and Linda and I will be preparing for another
cookout this evening. My sister and her family will be joining us for hot dogs,
and hamburgers with all the fixings. The partying doesn't seem to end at the
Curley's. I don't seem to have any time for depression. I am just exhausted by
the end of the day. Oops! I wasn't supposed to talk about depression.

Of course every grandparent thinks that their grandchild is wonderful. As our
fiends observed last night, our grandchild is beyond wonderful. Kyla and Max
work well together. The baby lets Kyla sleep in groups of 4 or 5 hours at time.
Nursing is going well. Sometimes you hear all those horror stories of the child
being up all night, or colicky babies, etc. Everything is perfect with this
mother and baby.
Could there be more babies on the horizon since this baby experience has gone
well so far for Kevin and Kyla? I would bet the answer would be "Yes".

My Red Sox lost another one.

Politics -- This list of people who want to fill Ted Kennedy's spot seems to be
growing. Us diehard Democrats want the position to stay Democratic. Curt
Schilling, a former Red Sox player, is thinking about throwing his hat in the
ring. This guy is a diehard Republican, and he won't be getting my vote.
Pfizer got fined 2.3 Billion dollars for providing perks to doctors who
promoted the Pfizer manufactured drugs. Three of the 13 drugs include Viagra,
Zoloft, and Lipitor. These are the sex, depression, and cholesterol drugs
respectively. How many of my e-mail recipients take any of these drugs?

I am the only one up right now. I don't have any idea how I can be quiet for
two adult females, one almost 4 week old baby, and two dogs. I am going to start
with emptying a full dishwasher. Next I have to attack my grease laden gas
grill, and the my new gadget that cooked 12 legs, and 12 wings. The discounted
$3 gadget from Home Goods performed as indicated. Linda took a picture of the
device in action.

Have a great Thursday, I know that Linda and I will be having one for sure
entertaining the dogs and our grandchild before our guests arrive around 5:30
PM.
Talk to you soon. The Curley Lad
