Hello on Friday Morning

Dear Friends,

We had a pleasant, but quiet day on Thursday.

After an early morning workout at Retro Fitness, I pretty much stayed in the house all day, and finished savoring another book

Linda spent her time relaxing until her 6 PM gathering of her girlfriends who are the ones who are going on the late June trip to Cape Cod. There were a little over 20 of them.

My Chicken Novena turned out well. I could eat chicken 7 days a week. The Queen doesn’t like chicken as much as I do.

I am heading off to Retro Fitness this morning. I will be there when the doors open at 4:30 AM.

I better find some time to visit Mom in the nursing home since we have a busy weekend.

I will mostly likely need an afternoon nap.

We have already mentally booked in supper at the Shamrock Restaurant & Pub.

Observation -- Since I mentioned going to the Shamrock, I was thinking about another subject brought on by the confusion of us going out on Ash Wednesday. One might get the impression that we tier our friends with respect to going out. We have different sets of friends who have different sets of issues. Some friends have parents living with them, some friends do a lot of baby sitting for their grandchildren, some friends have parents in the nursing home, some friends do a lot of volunteering, some friends can go to the movies during the day during the middle of the week, and there are single ones who enjoy going out, but who might feel a little awkward when surrounded by couples who talk about their children or grandchildren. We have one set of friends who have no children or grandchildren living locally. The last set of friends are the ones who we usually go out with because they say “Yes” to most of our invitations, or we say “Yes” to their invitations. If you think that this is a form of a tier system, then so be it. Do the Curley’s have too many sets of friends?

The Curley’s would just like to go out with happy people who can enjoy a couple hours of fun and merriment. Maybe more people should invite the Curley’s out instead of the other way around!

Sports – I was a day off with respect to Tiger making his prepared statement. It takes place at 11 AM today.

Weather – We might be getting snow storm in the Northeast on late Monday night, and going into Tuesday. We have a baby sitting gig for our grandchild Max, next week. We are picking him up on Monday night from East Boston. He will be staying with us in the Berkshires until Friday.

Well, I have to finish my coffee, and get to the gym.

Talk to you soon. The Curley Lad
