Hello again on Tuesday

Dear Friends,

I composed my Tuesday email, but the Internet is not working, and I cannot send or receive email yet. Oh Darn!

I have been watching the Today Show, and have seen the destruction caused by Mother Nature. The flooding, the tornadoes, fires, earth quakes, etc., is heart wrenching to watch. So we get a little extra snow this year, cold weather, and ice, but our homes are still standing. I am still convinced that we live in a nice part of the country.
Most of us who have grown up in the Northeast have no desire to move to warmer climates. Linda and I love the four seasons. Normally we go from one season to the other without many natural disasters.
We usually have reservoirs that get replenished every year naturally. This year the reservoirs will be over flowing. We don't get long summers, but our fall weather is spectacular. Every season has it's positives and negatives. Linda and I have traveled to different parts of the country from the East Coast to the West Coast, and there is no place like home here in the Northeast. So what if you have flight delays during the winter. The airlines will get you out of your predicament.
An occasional bear in our back yard sure beats dealing with alligators in your back yard or on a golf course down south.
Using a cactus in your yard, and lighting it up as Christmas Tree, liked we witnessed in Arizona, is nice to look at as a first timer, but it just isn't natural.
Every child should have a chance to get on a sled and go sliding down a big hill. A child should experience skiing since there are ski areas across the country.
Living in the Northeast, we have access to the oceans. We are 3.5 hours away from Cape Cod.
If you live in the middle of the country, the Great Lakes would be your ocean unless you get on an airplane.
Summer time down south is unbearable heat wise for we people who live in the Northeast.
One of my former students lived and worked in San Diego. After 10 or 15 years of perfect weather, he and his family left town for a four season part of the country.

Well, Linda's temperature has returned to normal.
Have a great Tuesday. The Curley Lad
