Hello on Monday Morning

Dear Friends,

For a seventh day in a row , we had a very pleasant day.
We arrived at the party house two hours (as arranged) before it started to help the hostess chop, and dice, and plate all kinds of epicurean delights. The host, who had leg surgery, sat in his lounge chair semi drugged up with pain pills, and an ice water pump during the whole party. He got up only for bathroom breaks. His wife and various guests brought him plates of food throughout the party.

The party went very well. There were 6 couples at the party, 5 were husband and wives, and one couple was composed of two straight men (who could have been perceived as a couple). The was much food, fun, and merriment. Of course, we had enough food for a party of 25 or 30 people. The Curley's were the last couple to leave, and we arrived home by 9:30 PM.

I did miss the Patriot football game, but I recorded it. Since they won the game, I will watch it at some point tiday.
I missed the Celtic Game also, They won the game in overtime. I will have to read about that game.

I am the only one booked in for an activity today. I am running a UNICO Board meeting at 5:30 PM. One of my e-mail readers thought that I should refresh your mind what the letters of this Italian based organization stand for.
U-- Unity, N-- Neighborliness, I -- Integrity, C -- Charity, O -- Opportunity."Service Above Self" is our mantra.

Observation 1 -- While at the party on Sunday, and as we all gathered on one room, I realized that the conversation which we are now engaged in is so different that when were in our 20's and 30's. Now we sit around and talk about health issues, and body parts which aren't working so great. At the end of the conversation , we decided that we should all go to the same nursing home when it gets to that point in our lives. Can you imagine what the conversation would be about when that happens?

Observation 2 -- Did anyone read Dear Abby in their Sunday newspaper. A woman is matched up with this really nice who is well off, and they agree to have sex after several dates. The question from this female was asking Dear Abby if she thought it was weird, and kind of kinky, that when they made love, the man did so with his socks and underwear on?

Observation 3 -- At the party, there was no discussion of sex amongst the room of baby boomers.

Have a great week at work or play.
Talk to you soon. The Curley Lad
