Hello on Wednesday Morning

Dear Friends,

Neither the ceiling guy nor the painter was able to finish their jobs on Tuesday. The ceiling guy ran out of ceiling tiles, and the painter had to sand and prime the spots that we thought were just touch up spots. Oh Darn!

Linda a fun time at Mah Jongg, and her friends gave her a mini birthday party.

I did get to read a book while the workers were at our house.

It was too muggy for cooking food in the kitchen for supper so I grilled some burgers and dogs.

I am booked in for a 9:10 AM tee time. Me and the usual suspects will be squeezing in a quick nine holes.

I am pretty sure that Linda has no commitments during the day. She has her monthly BONCO session at a fiend’s home in a neighboring town. This means that she will be missing her knitting group which meets at Panera Bread on Wednesday nights.

Today is supposed to be a nice day for golf. Thursday we have some rain from a tropical storm coming in. The rain is supposed to end by Friday morning which I hope doesn’t interfere with our Friday golf with my senior buddies Tee times end after Thursday.

The weekend will be seasonally cool with Saturday not getting out of the 50’s. I am ready for the cooler weather.

National News – How about the wackos who attended the birthday party for a 3 year old at an Eagles Hall. They brought in there own beer, and ended up using the bottle as weapons during a big time brawl. The father of the girl, and the mother’s new boyfriend initiated the fight. “Stupid people shouldn’t breed” rings true again.

Another news item which caught my attention was the college student in Texas who took an AK-47, and started shooting while on campus. He did shoot himself before the ordeal ended.

A few military guys killing civilians for sport in Afghanistan has caused a bit of harm.

Well, the President’s talking about the fact that our schools need an overhaul on Monday has people discussing how to do it all week. I still say to fix the family, and you will fix education.

Sports – The Yankees, and the Tampa Rays clinched playoff births. “Wait until next year” will be the theme for the Sox for the rest of the season.

Have a great Wednesday.

Talk to you soon. The Curley Lad
