Hello on Saturday again

Dear Friends,

I did forget to mention that one of our neighbors had a dark spot in the lighted bushes in front of his house. When I talked to the husband, he explained how the dark spot occurred. When we had some measurable snow a couple of weeks ago, he used his snow blower to clear off his driveway, and the walkway going to his front door. He told me that while he was snow blowing his walkway, he got a little to close to the bushes. He sucked up several strings of lights into his snow blower. He said that it happened so fast that he didn’t have enough time to shut down the machine before it ate up the lights. He told me that the dark spot will be there until he takes the lights down after Christmas. It is so good to see that other people do dumb things like the Curley Lad.

Another friend was telling me about his four year old grandchild who started preschool. My friend asked his grandchild how the first day of school went. The boy was so excited about his first day experience. He told his grandfather all the neat things that he did during that first day of school. The child told his grandfather that he learned some Spanish words. Grandpa asked the boy to say some of the new Spanish words. The boy responded by saying “Shalom”. The preschool that his parents enrolled him in was a Jewish one, which was the top rated one in the area. The parents are practicing Catholics.

The forecast is changing faster than I can report to all of you. Now the weather channel is saying that we should be getting 3 to 5 inches of the white stuff for our area. It looks like we might be dashing through the snow on the way to tonight’s activities. As a matter of fact, snow fell last year for the Irish Concert which we went to. It snowed so bad that all of us who showed up for the concert got a free ticket to another concert of our choice. Is it happening again?

Have a great weekend! The Curley Lad
