Hello on Friday Morning

Dear Friends,
Our Thursday went well. I did my track thing while Linda was still asleep in the morning. We both just chilled for most of the day before we headed off to Third Thursday in downtown Pittsfield. We made sure that we arrived at 5 PM because severe thunderstorm warning were being broadcast. We walked the streets for a little over any hour as thunderheads started to roll in. The rain did arrive, but we were at the East Side Cafe for some wood fired pizza when it happened.
We did get quite a thunder and lightening show while we were consuming pizza. Some areas in neighboring New York State received golf ball size hail.

Social Calendar -- I will be heading out the door around 7:15 AM to pick up a friend from New Jersey who is in the Berkshires for a few days with his wife. He will be playing with us in our regular Friday Senior Golf event. We are finally having our pizza party around 1 PM which has been postponed several times.

Social Calendar -- We don't have anything else planned for after golf because we might hook up with some other friends for supper. Let us say that we were working with a flexible schedule for today.

Politics -- The usual mayhem throughout the United States, and the world. The Supreme Court nominee held her own during the hearings on Thursday. A vote might take place on this coming Tuesday to accept her a a Supreme Court Judge.

Observation -- I did throw out the remainder of the fruit that I did tried to dehydrate. It was so inedible that Linda thought that I might break a tooth if I continued to eat it. I was afraid to put the dehydrated fruit in the garbage disposable even though we own a Maytag disposal before the company changed into making a cheaper product.
I learned a lesson that some of those "As seen on television" products might not be "cracked up" to what they are supposed to be.
Have you noticed that even though pitchman Billy Mays is dead and buried, they are still broadcasting those same infomercials which he is featured in? It is like the dead talking to us. Maybe his widow gave permission for this to happen.

Have to do my morning routine before heading out the door.
Have a great weekend.
Talk to you soon. The Curley Lad
