Hello on Friday Morning

Dear Friends,

It was not a good day on Thursday for Boston sports' teams. The Bruins lost in overtime. The Red Sox lost in 12 innings, and the Celtics lost their magic in Orlando.

The Big Brother's and Big Sisters Dinner and Auction went well at Eastover. There was much food, fun, and merriment as we prepared 100 Chicken Parm Dinners with all the fixings. Strawberry & blueberry shortcakes were a big hit for dessert.

While I was gone from 1 PM until about 8:30 PM, Linda had a pleasant time doing her thing. She won a few bucks on a lottery ticket so she was very happy.

It looks like our Friday Golf with the seniors is a go for today. We have to tee off at 7:30 AM so that we can finish before the mid-day Member Guest Tournament begins.

Social Calendar -- To be determined

Politics -- Bailing out insurance companies is quite interesting. The average person who lost his or her job needs a bailout too.

Observation -- When I am on the highways, whether it is in my community or beyond the Berkshires, I always observe wacky driving. Yesterday while doing an errand, the person in front of me almost got hit broadside when he pulled out in front of a car while making a turn.
On the way home from a market, the person in front of me, bounced her car off the granite curbing. She almost went into the other lane of traffic. Distraction because of a cell phone might have caused this incident. Some people drive their cars like the "Bumper Cars" at amusement parks.

Have to select my golfing wardrobe.
Talk to you soon. The Curley Lad
